MHSA Directors’ Meeting
MHSA Meetings are held on Fridays and are open to Head Start directors and senior leaders from MHSA member programs. Meetings take place 2 times per month, with the first meeting of each month being an extended format. These meetings are virtual unless specified as in-person.

Fiscal Sustainability Committee
The MHSA Fiscal Sustainability Committee leads MHSA’s fiscal work. This includes reviewing monthly fiscal reports, annual budgets and annual fiscal reports, annual audits and tax filings, and fiscal contracts. The Finance Committee is also tasked with identifying investment opportunities for review by the Board of Directors.
MHSA Annual Meeting 2026
Head Start program members and affiliate members are invited to join us for our 2026 Annual Meeting. Celebrate and highlight Head Start and our collective work in 2025, present our annual awards, and hear from key partners. Program members Board election will follow lunch.

The MHSA Policy & Advocacy Committee is tasked with overseeing MHSA’s external advocacy operations, including reviewing and recommending policy endorsements and sign on letters and developing advocacy strategy.

The MHSA Board of Directors is the governing and oversight body for MHSA. The Board meets regularly to oversee and act as liaisons to the various committees and Executive Director, developing papers to reflect our view(s), and participating in corporate evaluations of staff.

Patriot's Day
MHSA will be closed in observance of Patriot’s Day. This day commemorates the opening battles of the American Revolutionary War at Lexington and Concord in 1775.

Professional Development Committee Meeting
The Professional Development Committee is tasked with planning and overseeing MHSA’s professional development opportunities, including conferences, trainings and events, communities of practice, and other learning opportunities. The Committee will be tasked with collecting and analyzing member survey data to understand and respond to member professional development needs. The Professional Development Committee may also be asked to evaluate external professional development opportunities and data to ensure that MHSA is filling an unmet need for Head Start programs.
