Board of Directors' Meeting
The MHSA Board of Directors is the governing and oversight body for MHSA. The Board meets regularly to oversee and act as liaisons to the various committees and Executive Director, developing papers to reflect our view(s), and participating in corporate evaluations of staff.

Professional Development Committee Meeting
The Professional Development Committee is tasked with planning and overseeing MHSA’s professional development opportunities, including conferences, trainings and events, communities of practice, and other learning opportunities. The Committee will be tasked with collecting and analyzing member survey data to understand and respond to member professional development needs. The Professional Development Committee may also be asked to evaluate external professional development opportunities and data to ensure that MHSA is filling an unmet need for Head Start programs.

This is an in-person event with all committees scheduled to meet from 9:30am - 10:30am and our Directors’ meeting from 10:30am - 12pm. Lunch will be served at 12pm and a members only meeting will take place from 1-2pm.
Nominating Committee Meeting
The MHSA Nominating Committee is tasked with identifying a slate of nominees for Directors of the MHSA Board, as well as identifying nominees or award winners for other positions before the Board or membership, including New England Head Start Association board seats and MHSA award winners.

Organizational Structure Redesign
Register your team of 3-5 for an opportunity to examine your current organizational structure for efficiency, effectiveness, alignment with the new regulations, and alignment with your program’s mission and values. PTR-YC Follow Up Coaching
Prevent‐Teach‐Reinforce for Young Children (PTR‐YC) is a research‐proven, family‐centered approach used in preschool settings nationwide to resolve persistent challenging behaviors. A series of 3 additional follow up sessions to help with implementation will take place to wrap up the training module.
Finance Committee Meeting
The MHSA Finance Committee leads MHSA’s fiscal work. This includes reviewing monthly fiscal reports, annual budgets and annual fiscal reports, annual audits and tax filings, and fiscal contracts. The Finance Committee is also tasked with identifying investment opportunities for review by the Board of Directors.

2024 Fall Conference - Power of Togetherness
The Massachusetts Head Start Association is excited to invite Head Start professionals and parents/caregivers to celebrate the Power of Togetherness with us! Let’s come together to connect with peers, celebrate our work and strengthen our skills. It’s always more fun when we’re together! Breakout sessions will be led by experts in their fields, including leadership, mindfulness, early childhood mental health and more.
